Poll Winner: Ready to Wear

Victoria Beckham Fall Ready-to-Wear

Alexander McQueen Fall Ready-to-Wear

Paul Smith Fall RTW

Paul Smith

Burberry Prorsum Fall RTW

Christopher Bailey of Burberry

My latest poll was Couture vs. Ready-to-Wear. You know who won! Ready-to-Wear (rtw) is a dressed up name for designer clothing that can be worn on the street. Fashionable, yet totally wearable and most importantly, not to "blah." Yes, we all love couture, but I guess the voters for this poll are a little more sensible. Above, we have four different Fall rtw collections, all british fashion companies/designers (because of my London trip.) My favorite is Alexander McQueen's collection.

London, London!

Hello everyone. I had forgotten to tell my readers that I was going off to a fashionable trip to LONDON. Well, I'm telling you now. I arrived a few days ago. I had planned on putting my own photos up of what cool stuff I see, but there has been a problem with the computer. I can only blog without using my photos. So, I will be taking a short break from blogging unless we fix the computer problem (we're working on it.) I'll give an update soon.

I LOVE this dress

As you can see from the title of this post, I LOVE this dress from Lisa Perry. The picture says it all, but I will say it is unique and chic!

P.S-- a cute style option for winter would be with black tights and patent leather boots. Click here to see them.

Out with the Summer, in with the Fall

(click picture to enlarge)

An exciting time for fashion is coming up soon--Fall! The September issues of Vogue and Elle are on the news stands! Even through all the excitement of the upcoming fashion events, we are all pondering over one problem--what about our Summer items? What will we do with them during Fall? My picture above may answer those questions. With the help of some new accessories and lots of layers, you can turn your Summer wardrobe into Fall.

Update: Couture and More

Hello everyone. I'm currently working on a new post, but this one is just a quick update about some new things on my blog:
  1. My new poll is up-- Couture vs. Ready-to-Wear. Please vote!
  2. Many of you have been asking for the option of e-mail subscriptions. I finally got that together, so now you can subscribe via e-mail. But that doesn't mean you should stop looking at my blog homepage. You never know when new cool stuff will be up.
  3. I put up a blog list of some of the fashion blogs I follow. Make sure to check them out.
  4. I have some new videos on the video bar. Some couture fashion shows accompanying my poll. Ready-to-Wear will be up soon.
  5. Follow, follow, follow! The more followers the better.
  6. Lastly, and most importantly, I would love to have your say in what you want to see in Fashion Etc. Comment after I post and don't be shy to request something you would like to see. Your ideas could be put on my blog!
Thanks for reading my updates.

12 Days, 12 Accessories by Fulvio Bonavia

Raspberry purse below (My favorite fruit!!!)
I know it's been a while since I blogged--12 days to be exact-- but I have been so uninspired lately. It's hard to find something interesting to blog about when I'm just lazing around the house all day, enjoying the Summer. But I finally found something fashion forward and stylish to share with you--masterpieces of Fulvio Bonavia. Fulvio is an Italian photographer who's book featuring tasteful fashion photographs came out recently. The name of the book is "A Matter of Taste". I have selected 12 photos, for my twelve missed days, to share with you.

Metallic fish belt--will definitely draw attention.

Chocolate earrings--chic and fragrant.

Eggplant flats--would be nice with dark tights for fall.

Petal Perfume--never leave your house without a squirt of perfume.

Watermelon helmet--try rocking the biker chic style and be safe with a hard helmet.

Broccoli Bag--You can never have too many bags!

Rice and garlic rain boots--always be prepared to look good in bad weather.

Artichoke hat--who wouldn't love this?!?!

Prosciutto Ring--definitely unique.
Squid and caviar rings--also very unique.
And finally... another bag! I hope you're craving Fulvio's designs. So glad so have blogged again!

Fashion Etc: Back in Business

Hello everyone. Fashion Etc is back!!!! My trip was great, but I did miss sharing my fashion finds with all of you. So today, I have a extra special store to share with you---Paillettes. It is a brand new Couture shop in my town. All of the items are made by the owner of the store, so this is the only place you can find the clothing and accessories above. I absolutely love everything that the owner makes and all of it is so original. At the top is a rack of hats. I really like the floppy white one with the bow, it's so chic. Below that is a beautiful smoke gray eyelet dress. My two favorite things in the whole store are the intense charm necklace and the rubber bag. There were a few of the necklaces in the store, each one a little different. I photographed one with a carnival theme. Another great one was a travel theme. The rubber bags came in different varieties, but I like the fringed on the best. They came in colors like navy, white, and red. I'm so glad to be back to Fashion Etc! I'll be blogging more for the rest of summer.
